In a web announcement published on the DDTC website on May 4th, 2016, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) announced that effective immediately, DDTC will adjudicate applications to export or temporarily import defense articles and defense services to/from Sri Lanka. Applications will be reviewed on a “case-by-case” basis. A pending Federal Register notice updating Category 126.1 of the ITAR will be issued in the coming days.
